How do I connect my organization’s AWS account to Equinix. What information and steps are required from our side?
We are only using ½ a rack at MI1 and ½ of our power allotment. If anyone is interested in sharing, please contact me at jay@dslx.net
Is there a catalog of cross-connect service providers available for each Equinix location? I would like to find out if Equinix offers cross-connect capability with the Bloomberg IGN network from Ashburn and Chicago locations.
I received several helpful replies to my question — how can I mark one of them as the Best Answer so others know which solution worked?
I am trying to find out how to ask a question or post a discussion, what are the steps to do this?
Essentially what the title says. I'm attempting to programmatically get the list of colocation users and their roles/permissions. It doesn't appear there's an easy way to do this with the existing API. That said, when I view my users in the portal ordinarily, I see GET /api/ecp/users/getUsersSo it's definitely there, I'm assuming it's just not available to normal users, only to Equinix internally. Any chance someone here has an idea?
I used to be able to download the latest SOC II Type II reports online, where are they located now? Specially I need it for LA3
I have an FCR connected to one OCI connection and two AWS connections. From AWS to OCI, passing through FCR, I see that AWS is implementing ECMP towards OCI prefixes, as evidenced by the RX traffic on the FCR coming from these two connections. In FCR active routes, I am seeing the same prefixes learned from these two AWS connections. If I look at the contrary (TX) from FCR to AWS (from traffic that originated in OCI), I always see TX to AWS using only one AWS connection, never the other one.Support says that it is not working because OCI has only one connection to FCR.As far as I know, ECMP is implemented hop by hop, and it is a local decision implemented independently at each router (hop) in the network, that is why I do not agree with this statement. For me is the function of FCR implement ECMP in this case for these packets coming from OCI to AWS.
Hello Equinix Community, Apologies in advance if this is a repeated question but my search didn't find any relevant topics. We have upgrade planned for our router in Chicago which is connected to Equinix IX. What is the best method of informing IX participants about the maintenance activity? We have a lot of peers on the IX so informing them individually will be very cumbersome. Thanks
Hi team,When ordering Internet Access over fabric for a redundant connection type, how many sets of additional IPs are provided? For example is it just one set of additional IPs anywhere between /30 to /24?Or as it's a redundant pair do we get two sets of additional IPs e.g. additional IP range 1:anything from /30 to /24additional IP range 2:anything from /30 to /24Thanks
Hi,we have a presence in different Equinix data centers and retrieve billing information via the Billing v2 API. We observed that the information we obtain for the Japan invoice (and that one only) has inconsistent (dare I say wrong?) tax amount values across time:For invoices from 2024-02 (oldest I have) until 2024-05 (which is not downloadable anymore due to the 12 month limit but I have a local copy) the Japanese line items behave exactly like all others we can observe, namely: non-zero taxAmount (10% of recurringAmount) and recurringAmount + taxAmount = totalAmount. For invoices from 2024-06 until 2024-08 (both in the snapshot I had from a few months ago and the one I just took now) the Japanese line items now still has a non-zero taxAmount (10% of recurringAmount) but totalAmount = recurringAmount. Checking a few entries we saw that the netAmount is the same as in previous entries which makes me assume that the totalAmount does not include any tax amount. For invoices from 2024-09 o
How does the Fabric Cloud Router compare to the Megaport Cloud Router?
Hello, today I noticed that on the API documentation overview page it says that the Billing_v2 API is Deprecated. I can't find any further information on that and also noticed that, in contrast to the WorkVists_v1 API which is marked in the same way, no deprecation information can be found on the actual documentation page. Would you be able to provide some more information on the deprecation or links to where I can find it? I'm especially interested in whether this API is actually going to be disabled in the future and if there's any alternative to obtain invoice information programmatically and machine-readable.Thanks, Jonas
I have managed to use several terraform modules without problem. I have used the palo alto cloudgenix vm modules, palo alto firewalls modules, device link modules, and fabric cloud router module. All work okay on the lastest version of equinix/equinix. However as I dive into other connections I get a lot version issues. For example. Leveraging the cloud-router-port connection. https://registry.terraform.io/modules/equinix/fabric/equinix/latest/examples/cloud-router-2-port-connectionThis would be used to connect the cloud router to the pa firewall mgmt interface. Documentation covers the following version. required_providers {equinix = {source = "equinix/equinix"version = ">= 2.9.0" } } } But code doesnt work without this versionterraform { required_providers { equinix = { source = "equinix/equinix" version = "~> 1.26.0" } }}When using new versions error occurs. Recently I have been having issues with the Shipments v1 endpoint for pending storage (https://api.equinix.com/v1/orders/shipment/pendingStorage), receiving 503 service unavailable.Searching the catalog, there is no 503 defined so not entirely sure what this error is stating.Looking to see if this is a bug or if the endpoint was deprecated without notice.Thank you
Hi guys,With the 'Equinix Connect Single-Homed Direct (Provider Assigned IP)' service are there open ports?I have a Fortgate Firewall connected with the internet facing port configured to the Equinix supplied IP Address and have no problem getting internet through it and using NAT for a couple of device clients behind firewall, but I can't open a SSL VPN connection to the Firewall router. Are all ports closed by default? Thanks for your help,Ed
