Enable Cross-Enterprise Service Token Validation and Metadata Retrieval via Fabric Service Token APIOpen

Problem StatementCustomers who collaborate across multiple enterprises/accounts use Service Tokens to facilitate Equinix Fabric connectivity workflows. While Service Tokens can be shared and redeemed between different organizations, the current API appears to restrict retrieval and validation of Service Token details to the account context in which the token was created. When attempting to query a Service Token generated by another enterprise, the API GET /fabric/v4/serviceTokens/{serviceTokenId} returns an error rather than providing token status or metadata.Customer Use CaseA receiving enterprise needs to validate the authenticity and status of a Service Token that was generated and shared by another enterprise before proceeding with provisioning workflows. Customers would like to programmatically verify:Whether the Service Token is valid Whether the token has been redeemed or remains available Allowed bandwidth Associated location/metro Relevant token attributes and parameters Expiration status and other metadataThis capability is particularly important for automation, partner integrations, and large-scale provisioning workflows where organizations exchange Service Tokens programmatically.Requested EnhancementEnhance the GET Fabric Service Token API to allow authorized cross-enterprise validation and retrieval of Service Token metadata when a valid Service Token ID is provided, subject to appropriate security and access controls.Possible implementation options:Introduce a dedicated "Validate Service Token" API endpoint. Allow limited read-only access to token metadata for organizations that have received the token. Return non-sensitive token details while maintaining enterprise isolation. Provide token status and validation responses without exposing confidential account information.Business ValueImproves customer automation and self-service capabilities. Simplifies partner and multi-enterprise provisioning workflows. Reduces manual support cases related to Service Token validation. Improves operational efficiency for customers integrating Equinix Fabric APIs into their orchestration platforms. Enhances customer confidence when consuming shared Service Tokens from external enterprises.Priority JustificationThis represents a valid customer workflow where Enterprise A shares a Service Token with Enterprise B, and Enterprise B needs a reliable API mechanism to verify the token's authenticity, status, and key attributes before consuming it. The current limitation prevents full automation of this process and creates dependency on manual validation or support engagement.Customer Impact: Medium to High for customers leveraging multi-enterprise Fabric automation and API-driven provisioning workflows.

Trust and Transparency Dashboard - Enable Notifications for New or Renewed Certifications and Compliance ReportsOpen

IdeaIt would be helpful to introduce a notification/subscription feature within the Trust and Transparency Dashboard that allows customers to receive alerts when certifications or compliance reports are renewed, updated, or newly published.Current experienceCustomers can access and download certifications and compliance reports through the portal. However, there is currently no option to be proactively notified when an updated document becomes available.This means customers who are waiting for a renewed certification or report need to periodically check the portal or contact Equinix for an update.Customer use caseThis request came directly from a customer who was monitoring upcoming ISO certification renewals. While the customer appreciated being able to self-service the documents through the portal, the feedback was that they wanted to avoid repeatedly checking the portal to determine whether recertification had been completed.This could be particularly valuable for enterprise customers that rely on these documents for internal audits, compliance reviews, vendor risk assessments and other assurance activities.Suggested enhancementAllow customers to subscribe to notifications for relevant certifications and compliance reports, for example:Notify customers when an existing certification has been renewed or replaced Notify customers when a new compliance report is published Allow customers to select which certifications/reports they want to follow Provide email and/or in-portal notifications Optionally provide advance notifications when a certification is approaching expiry, where applicablePotential benefitsThis would make the Trust and Transparency Dashboard more proactive rather than requiring customers to continuously check for updates. It could also:Improve the customer self-service experience Help customers stay on top of compliance and audit requirements Reduce manual enquiries to Customer Success and other supporting teams regarding document availability Encourage greater adoption and recurring usage of the Trust and Transparency DashboardI believe this would be a useful enhancement for customers who regularly monitor Equinix certifications and compliance documentation.

Permissions to reply to other ticketsResolved

Hi, It seems only the person raising a smart hands or trouble ticket can amend that ticket.  It would be extremely helpful if others with the appropriately assigned permissions would be able to reply to comments left by Equinix on these tickets.  All too often the person who raised the ticket is off shift and we cannot update the ticket so end up having to email GSD to sort it.   Thanks, Glenn

User created port labelsResolved

The ability to create user generated port labels would be amazing.   This way I can more easily determine which one goes to which datacenter on our side.   You can leave the current label in the port properties so it can be referred to when putting a ticket in, but the current naming convention is difficult to correlate which port is for which of our circuits going to which datacenter.   Thanks!

Colocation Programmatic UsersOpen

Hello, I was told it was removed previously, but I would really like the ability to CRUDD Colocation Administration/Users from the Equinix API. The Equinix API is great for many things, unfortunately, this is the biggest one I would use it for. To put some context around this, I have 7 different colocation vendors that I manage operational tickets, work visits and user access for. I would really like the ability to at least centralize some of these functions to my own application, and a proper API endpoint for this specific functionality would allow us to onboard and offboard users much easier and more effectively. Another option may be for Equinix to move its colocation identity management to it's customer facing IAM solution, which I believe already has public facing API endpoints.Thank you.

Tweaks to new Space RestrictionsResolved

Great to have this in the portal now. Couple of suggestions to improve it: We need multiple time windows so we can restrict access at different times at the weekend. Right now, every day has to be set the same: 2. Allow us to type the time in. Scrolling through every minute of the day is painfully slow. Thanks!

Accessibility features in the portalResolved

Good afternoon, I wanted to share some feedback from visually impaired portal users. The current portal layout and structure does not work very well with screen-readers and can be difficult to follow. For example, the symbols on the left-hand menu are very small and do not have an obvious meaning. We do not get advanced notice of changes to the layout of the portal, for visually impaired users this is especially challenging as they do not have time to learn the new layout in advance of the change. What are your plans for developing better accessibility within the portal? Is this something we could have a conversation about? Thank you.
