Trust and Transparency Dashboard - Enable Notifications for New or Renewed Certifications and Compliance ReportsOpen

IdeaIt would be helpful to introduce a notification/subscription feature within the Trust and Transparency Dashboard that allows customers to receive alerts when certifications or compliance reports are renewed, updated, or newly published.Current experienceCustomers can access and download certifications and compliance reports through the portal. However, there is currently no option to be proactively notified when an updated document becomes available. This means customers who are waiting for a renewed certification or report need to periodically check the portal or contact Equinix for an update.Customer use caseThis request came directly from a customer who was monitoring upcoming ISO certification renewals. While the customer appreciated being able to self-service the documents through the portal, the feedback was that they wanted to avoid repeatedly checking the portal to determine whether recertification had been completed. This could be particularly valuable for enterprise custome

Network Edge – F5 IP VE for Local Traffic Management and Load Balancing: When to Use it and What to Expect
Network Edge – F5 IP VE for Local Traffic Management and Load Balancing: When to Use it and What to ExpectNews

The Challenge:As application traffic increases, organizations need an effective way to distribute incoming client requests across backend applications or database servers. Without intelligent traffic distribution, individual servers can become overloaded, potentially affecting application performance and scalability.A Better Approach:F5 BIG-IP Virtual Edition (VE) on Network Edge supports the Local Traffic Manager (LTM) use case, enabling organizations to intelligently distribute incoming traffic across pools of backend application or database servers. This virtualized approach helps organizations manage application traffic and support scalable application delivery without deploying dedicated physical appliances. When to Use This:Distributing incoming client traffic across multiple backend applications or database servers hosted in Equinix colocation facilities, public clouds, or hybrid multi-cloud environments Balancing application workloads to reduce the risk of individual servers bec

Network Edge – 25G Virtual Connection Support for EIA: When to Use it and What to ExpectNews

The Challenge:As application traffic volumes increase, organizations may outgrow existing connectivity capacity between their virtual network functions (VNFs) and internet access services. Limited bandwidth can create bottlenecks for high-throughput workloads, impacting performance and scalability.A Better Approach:Network Edge now supports 25 Gbps virtual connections to Equinix Internet Access (EIA), enabling customers to provision higher-bandwidth connectivity between supported virtual network functions and internet access services. This enhancement helps organizations accommodate greater traffic demands while reducing potential bandwidth constraints. When to Use This:Supporting high-throughput internet-bound workloads that require more than 10 Gbps of connectivity Scaling network capacity to accommodate growing application and data traffic demands Reducing bandwidth bottlenecks between Network Edge virtual network functions and Equinix Internet Access (EIA) Improving connectivity cap

Nature of the services provided by EquinixBlog

VAT information Nature of the services provided by Equinix The European Court of Justice ('ECJ') ruled that, in principle, a supply which comprises a single service from an economic point of view should not be artificially split to ensure that the functioning of the VAT system is not distorted. According to the ECJ, the essential features of the transaction must be ascertained in order to determine whether the taxable person is supplying the customer with several distinct principal services or with a single service.A single service is supplied if two or more elements supplied by the taxable person to the customer are so closely linked that they form, objectively, a single, indivisible economic supply, which would be artificial to split. The services supplied by Equinix are to be regarded as regular data center and colocation services, which in the end consist of all necessary services and supplies (e.g. guaranteed power delivery, consistent temperature control and the ability to directl

MACsec Replay Window Baseline Calculator: User GuideTutorial

Overview This guide explains each section of the MACsec Replay Protection Window Sizing Calculator and the mathematics behind the recommended window value. The tool produces a baseline planning recommendation, not a hardware-certified value — it estimates how large a replay window is needed to tolerate normal jitter, routing/LAG failover. Why is the Recommended Window Calculated This Way? The core design philosophy behind the calculator is that the replay window must be large enough to absorb every legitimate cause of out-of-order packet numbers (PNs) while staying as small as possible to minimize actual security exposure. MACsec's anti-replay mechanism works by tracking a sliding window of recently-seen PNs — any packet with a PN falling outside that window (too far behind the highest PN seen) gets dropped as a suspected replay. This creates a direct trade-off: too small a window causes false-positive drops of legitimate traffic, while too large a window gives a genuine replay attacke

Understanding MACsec Replay Protection: Window Sizing for Real-World DeploymentsTutorial

What is MACsec Replay Protection? Why is Replay Protection Needed? The Practical Application of Replay Protection The Impact of Line Rate and Replay Window Configuration on Attack Exposure Exposure Time by Line Rate and Frame Size Feasibility of a real replay attack at each line rate MACsec Replay Window Sizing Calculator MACsec Calculator User GuideWhat is MACsec Replay Protection?MACsec (IEEE 802.1AE) is a Layer 2 hop-by-hop encryption standard that protects Ethernet frames traveling between two directly connected or bridged MACsec-capable devices, providing confidentiality, integrity, data-origin authenticity, and replay protection. Every frame protected by MACsec carries a Packet Number (PN) in its SecTAG header, a value that increments by one for each frame transmitted under a given Secure Association Key (SAK). On the receiving side, MACsec does not just decrypt and verify integrity — it also tracks these packet numbers to detect and drop frames that appear to be duplicates or re

Connect with Colt Technology Services Through Fabric Marketplace: When to Use it and What to ExpectNews

The Challenge:Connecting enterprise locations across Europe often requires enterprises to engage infrastructure and network providers separately. Navigating multiple systems and coordinating service availability, pricing, quotes and orders can add complexity, slow deployment and AI adoption, and put growth at risk.A Better Approach:Colt Technology Services (Colt) is now the first European-based provider to integrate its last mile connectivity services with Fabric Marketplace. This strengthened partnership brings together Colt’s extensive network footprint and Equinix Fabric, enabling enterprises to establish secure, end-to-end connectivity from third-party locations, including office buildings and data centers, directly into Equinix facilities.Through the Fabric Marketplace experience, customers can instantly discover Colt services, view pricing, request quotes, and trigger order requests without navigating multiple providers. The integration eliminates manual handoffs, accelerates dep
