Hello! We've put together a brief introduction to the community here at Equinix. This video examines some of the features of this community, including how best to use the Discussions and Ideas boards. We'll take a look at some of the other features in a future video. If there's anything you'd like us to cover in a video, leave a comment below!

As of now, Groups are managed by the Equinix Community team. In order to request a new Group, please navigate to Ideas and post a new idea there. All new Group ideas will be reviewed by a Community Team member and you will hear back soon.

Groups are divided into three categories -- public, private, and hidden. Public Groups can be joined and read by any user regardless of role, rank, or sign-in status. Private Groups can only be read by members of the Group. To join a private Group, click on the Group and select the button to request membership. Membership is controlled by the Group's moderator. Hidden Groups can only be read and accessed by members of the Group, who are manually managed by the Group's administrator. In all cases, posting content to a Group is contingent upon being a member of that Group.

Groups are a new tool here on the Equinix Community. Groups contain targeted discussions about a particular topic or subject. In order to join a Group, you must first determine if the group is public, private, or hidden. To join a public Group, such as the Accessibility Improvements Group, click on the group and click the "Join Group" button. To join a private Group, click on the Group with the "closed" designation, and click the "Send Request to Join" button. If you are aware of a hidden Group, you must contact the Group's owner or a Community administrator to be added manually. In any of the Group types, you must be a member in order to post to that Group.

We're making improvements to the Equinix Community login experience! Starting April 6, 2023, you'll see a change to our login experience as we update to the new unified login experience for Equinix portals.  Here's what to expect: Consistent look and feel across all Equinix portal login experiences If you use a password manager, you'll need to resubmit your username/password  If you encounter an issue with logging into Community, please email community@equinix.com so we can look into it further. 

We're celebrating the 1st anniversary of the Equinix Community! In April 2022, we launched the Equinix Community and a year later we're already at 1400 members and counting!
