Hi, would it be possible to look into whether its feasible to email the Ordering Contact and any other notification contacts when a visitor signs in on site via a Work Visit. It would be handy to know that the visitor has arrived on site and signed in successfully.

Thanks,

Matt

Thanks for your idea! I’ve spoken with the product team regarding this request, and they’ve added it to their backlog. This specific request would be a large effort with our existing system. We are in the middle of a larger effort to evaluate a new system that could make this request much easier. We will keep this idea open to gather additional support.

This would be very helpful indeed.

I often wonder if 'someone is already in the IBX', when an issue appears in one of the racks near the one the engineer is planned access for. It would be very helpful to see that I can contact that person right now...

Good thinking Matt!

Thank you for your patience on this request. While this idea was submitted a while back, we’ve recently revisited it as part of our efforts to improve site transparency.

Our Product Manager is currently investigating the technical feasibility of triggering automated email notifications for Ordering Contacts when a visitor signs in via a Work Visit.

We are hoping to have a more concrete solution moving forward and will keep you updated as the plan takes shape.
