How does the internet connect from New York City to Paris? It's not just satellites - it's also cables underneath the ocean. And they send data through glass traveling at 671,000,000 miles per hour. That's the speed of light!There are more than 500 of these cables spanning 750,000 miles sending more than 64 terabits of data. That's enough bandwidth to send 2 million mp3 files every single second.Watch this video below to learn more about these fascinating cables that deliver over 97% of the internet’s traffic.
To help you connect, we have added "connectToCloudVision," "cvpType," "cvpFqdn," "cvpIpAddress," "cvaasPort," "cvpPort," and "cvpToken" fields. Check out the following pages for details: Launch Self-Configured Device Get Virtual Devices Get Virtual Device {uuid}
Now you can monitor your Network Edge device utilization traffic by accessing your device details. In your Virtual Device Inventory, click on the device you want to monitor. In the Device Details, click the Interfaces tab. Expand the arrow next to the port you want to monitor and a graph will display showing Inbound and Outbound traffic for the last 7 days. Refresh the graph by clicking Refresh.Change the duration using the drop-down. Choose Last 7 days or Last 24 hours.

Appreciate your help - How can I convert my CSR1000V Equinix-configured device to a C8000V self-configured device?
In honor of Cyber Security Awareness Month, we're sharing a cyber-security themed puzzle that our own Equinix Security Awareness team created for employees (and approved us to share).Are you able to solve the jumble? If you can, please, no spoilers in the comments - but do let everyone know you solved it! SpoilerPuzzle Answers! It's a serious issue that requires careful cybersecurity measures.IVYCARP = PRIVACY – While privacy online just gets harder, you must maintain it as best you can – for Equinix, yourself and your family. You can create Virtual Devices using Equinix APIs. Many vendors, including Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and others, offer firewalls and routers on our platform. Check out our use cases to understand the required steps and the set of APIs you need to create Clusters, SD-WANs, and other Self-Configured devices: https://developer.equinix.com/dev-docs/ne/getting-started/launch-cluster-device https://developer.equinix.com/dev-docs/ne/getting-started/launch-sdwan-device https://developer.equinix.com/dev-docs/ne/getting-started/launch-self-configured-device You could take advantage of the Postman collection listed on the above pages to get the payload to create any device type.

Hi,i have used the API to create a work visit order and the http response is success. 201 with order number in header.However, we are receiving calls from the service desk that the ticket information is not accurate. Like the IBX , cage & cabinet information is missing in the order.I am not sure why this is happening.Anyone faced this ?
It has been some time since I built an ExpressRoute within the Equinix Fabric. Our topology is using Fabric Ports (not Virtual Devices). We have a primary and secondary port. We have built the ExpressRoute in Azure as well as the ExpressRoute VC in Equinix but are having trouble getting end-to-end connectivity. In the overview page of the ExpressRoute connection in the Equinix Fabric, there is an Origin VLAN and Destination VLAN. The Origin VLAN tags are different (Primary is 4025 and Secondary is 4026) but the Destination VLAN tag is the same (37 in this case). Where do we configure those? In the ExpressRoute Private Peering in Azure, we can only enter a single VLAN tag. Do we configure 4025/4026 on our routers and 37 in Azure, visa versa, or do we configure the same on both? The KB articles and videos do not cover this.
Apologies if this is a n00b question but I haven't been able to find an answer in the docs so far.Just starting out on the API journey, so for now at least we only need read-only access for our tooling.What is the recommended way to create a read-only user? So far I can only see how to create accounts for humans.Cheers!

I would like to use the 【Create Connection】 API of EquinixFabric. We have confirmed the following two API details, but the contents are different. Does both parameters work? Or are there any conditions for proper use?The following are examples of the different parameters.① API catalog(https://developer.equinix.com/catalog/fabricv4) Connections >> [POST] Create Connection type:"VG_VC" "EVPL_VC" "EPL_VC" "EC_VC" "IP_VC" "ACCESS_EPL_VC" "EIA_VC" "EVPLAN_VC" "EPLAN_VC" ② API Reference(https://developer.equinix.com/docs?page=/dev-docs/fabric/overview) API Reference >> Fabric v4 APIs - Recommended >> Create Connection >> Body parameters type:EVPL_VC、ACCESS_EPL_VC、IP_VC、EVPLAN_VC
Is anyone out there using the ECP APIs?I am specifically interested in whether anyone has built spokes to workflows in applications such as Salesforce or Servicenow and any advice you can share on pitfalls to avoid.
Amplifying this post: https://developer.equinix.com/forum/issue-creating-work-visit-request We've sent the customer to api-experience@equinix.com as colo related APIs are involved. Hello, We are trying to automate creating work visit requests in Equinix portal using rest API's. Anyone faced this ??? Any recommendations ?? Thanks in Advance
What are some examples of applications that are commonly deployed across multiple cloud providers? Is this generally done to improve resiliency for the application or are there other reasons (e.g., performance improvements) to use this design?
