What is the difference between Security Access & Work Visit Orders?
Security Access Order – This order type is related to register the hand-scan access of the users granted with Enter-IBX permission. Only registered users (in the Equinix Customer Portal) with IBX Physical access permission are allowed for Security access enrollment. Security access removal requests are placed by default when a user is terminated or deactivated in the portal.
Work Visit Order – This order type is mainly to grant IBX access for a short period. Work Visit orders are raised by customers to send their vendors to IBX for a specific period to do some work at their cages. It allows non-registered users to customer cages with valid work visit order. A Work Visit order is valid for two weeks.
