SHRED Expansion Update – New Locations and Growing Coverage

We’re excited to announce that SHRED is now live in ST1, ST2, ST3, ST4, MX1, and MX2 locations, with many more sites planned for rollout this quarter.

This expansion brings our total SHRED coverage to 150 IBXs globally, significantly enhancing our secure and compliant equipment disposal capabilities.

• Expanded coverage now includes IBXs in Canada, Finland, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Mexico, Chile and  the United States.
• All newly added locations are fully operational and ready to support SHRED requests
• Additional sites will be added soon as we continue to grow our footprint

SHRED (Smart Hands for Responsible Electronic Disposal) is an innovative Smart Hands service designed to standardize e-waste disposal. Customers can easily submit requests through a self-service form available on the Equinix Customer Portal (ECP) to recycle old storage media, hard drives, and other equipment in a secure, compliant, and audit-ready manner.
