Equinix Internet Access BFD

Hi,

We're looking at using Equinix Internet Access and would like to enable BFD for faster failure detection but it isn't currently supported. Can we request this feature be added please.

    Hi, we at Meter are also interested in the capability.

    1. What is your expected failover time in case of a network failure? <5 seconds
    2. Have you already adjusted BGP hold timers to achieve faster failure detection? Yes
    3. Are you currently using BFD with BGP in your environment? Yes
      1. If so, what has been your experience with stability and reconvergence? Sub-second failover
      2. Have you encountered issues with BFD being too sensitive? Not often, and you can tune those
    4. Would a slightly slower but more stable failover mechanism be acceptable? Make a suggestion
    5. Are you aware of any alternative mechanisms you're currently using or considering for failure detection? No
    6. How many BFD sessions do you anticipate needing per device or per site? One per edge switch, we currently have 2 of these per data center
