Azure doesn't impose any restrictions to update subnet info. The only requirement from Equinix is make sure to change the interface IP accordingly after modifying the subnet

Azure ExpressRoute over Equinix Fabric is a Layer 2 solution.

As such, it does not participate in Layer 3 routing. Any changes in IP addressing will happen between the subnet inside Azure, and the subnet in on-premises customer network, and will be transparent to Equinix Fabric.
