Equinix introduces Equinix® Fabric One™ an intent-based networking service designed to simplify any-to-any connectivity across distributed digital infrastructure. Fabric One introduces a new way for customers to describe the outcome they need, while Equinix composes the network required to deliver it.

Note: Equinix Fabric One was introduced at Equinix Horizon alongside Equinix Inference Exchange, together delivering new capabilities that solidify Equinix’s role as the world’s trusted AI exchange. Fabric One is expected to enter preview in Q4 2026, with planned general availability in Q1 2027 Additional details regarding availability, deployment locations, and customer access will be shared in future updates.

Why it Matters

Modern enterprises operate across clouds, AI providers, enterprise infrastructure, partners, and sovereign environments. As these environments become more distributed, connectivity can become increasingly complex to design, configure, and manage.

Fabric One is designed to simplify that experience. Instead of starting with individual products or topology decisions, customers can declare the business outcome they need. Fabric One then determines what to connect, where to connect, and at what capacity, helping shift the customer experience from designing networks to describing business intent.

What Changes with Fabric One

Today, customers can use Equinix services to build secure, resilient, any-to-any connectivity. Fabric One introduces a new operating model that helps simplify how those outcomes are delivered.

  • Old way: Choose products à Design topology à Configure à Operate
  • New way: Declare outcome à Equinix composes à Network delivered

The differentiation is not simply the prompt. It is what happens after the prompt: the automatic composition of the network across the Equinix connectivity portfolio.

Use Cases Fabric One is Designed to Support

  • Simplifying multicloud and AI connectivity across clouds, AI providers, enterprise locations, and partners
  • Accelerating network deployments by reducing manual topology design and configuration
  • Supporting private, resilient connectivity for distributed infrastructure and AI workloads
  • Helping teams shift from assembling individual networking components to declaring the outcome they want to achieve
