Announcing EPIC (Enhanced Performance Innovation Centers)

Equinix introduces EPIC (Enhanced Performance Innovation Centers), a growing global program of purpose-built liquid cooling environments operating inside active Equinix IBX® data centers. EPIC gives customers a hands-on way to evaluate liquid cooling technologies, validate high-density infrastructure designs, and gain confidence in small-scale deployments before scaling-up AI and HPC workloads in production.

Note: EPIC environments are currently live in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Osaka, and Sydney, with additional locations planned in 2027. Capabilities, configurations, and participating partners may vary by location.

Why it Matters

As AI adoption accelerates, organizations are deploying increasingly dense infrastructure that places new demands on cooling, power, and operations. While liquid cooling has emerged as a key enabler for AI-ready infrastructure, many enterprises still want a better way to understand how these environments work before making significant capital investments.

EPIC was created to help bridge that gap. By providing production-relevant environments inside active Equinix data centers, customers can evaluate liquid cooling solutions, explore infrastructure requirements, gain practical insights, test real architectures and deploy smaller AI and high-density infrastructure projects before moving to larger-scale production.

Additional locations are planned as the program continues to expand globally.
