Hi everyone, it's been a while! The Quix Design System team has worked on making sure that our building blocks are accessible, and we are happy to announce that all our components now have accessibility upgrades. Some things we have been paying special attention to: Keyboard navigation Screen reader compatibility Color contrast & visible focus indicators Programmatically determinable roles & states We used Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 as our standard and referenced WAI Patterns for keyboard interactions. Since not all parts of the customer portal is using the Quix Design System, the improvements will only be noticeable in pages that utilize Quix components. But rest assured! We're working on auditing the portal and addressing accessibility issues. In the meantime, if you find any accessibility bugs or pages that need attention, please reach out to me, make a post in this channel, or leave a comment below. We are a small team and would appreciate any help to guide us to issues that require attention. p.s. Good afternoon, I wanted to share some feedback from visually impaired portal users. The current portal layout and structure does not work very well with screen-readers and can be difficult to follow. For example, the symbols on the left-hand menu are very small and do not have an obvious meaning. We do not get advanced notice of changes to the layout of the portal, for visually impaired users this is especially challenging as they do not have time to learn the new layout in advance of the change. What are your plans for developing better accessibility within the portal? Is this something we could have a conversation about? Thank you.2KViews6likes6CommentsImprovement: Support Text added to ECP Header
Thanks to AbigailWelsh for your suggestion to update the support icon in ECP to include text. This improvement has been released and is live in ECP. If anything other items have come up since we last spoke, happy to hear more feedback!69Views1like0Comments
