What are the different types of Groups?

Groups are divided into three categories -- public, private, and hidden.

• Public Groups can be joined and read by any user regardless of role, rank, or sign-in status.
• Private Groups can only be read by members of the Group. To join a private Group, click on the Group and select the button to request membership. Membership is controlled by the Group's moderator.
• Hidden Groups can only be read and accessed by members of the Group, who are manually managed by the Group's administrator.

In all cases, posting content to a Group is contingent upon being a member of that Group.
