Announcing Fabric MCP Private Beta: Manage Equinix Fabric with AI Assistants

We're excited to announce the Fabric MCP Private Beta—a new way to manage your Equinix Fabric infrastructure using AI assistants like Claude, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor.

What is Fabric MCP?

The Fabric MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server lets you control your Fabric resources through natural language commands in your IDE or AI assistant. Instead of clicking through the portal, you can ask:

  • "Create a connection from DC to AWS in Silicon Valley"
  • "Show me all my active connections and their status"
  • "Set up a cloud router in NY with three connections to Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud"

40+ tools are available across the Fabric platform—no portal required.

Who Should Join?

This beta is ideal for:

  • ✅ Active Equinix Fabric customers
  • ✅ Technical teams (DevOps, Network Engineering, Cloud Architecture)
  • ✅ Teams using AI coding assistants (Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, VS Code)
  • ✅ Organizations managing Fabric resources regularly

How to Join

To request beta access:

  1. Send an email to fabric-intelligence-support@equinix.com
  2. We'll add your organization to the allowlist
  3. You'll receive setup instructions for your preferred AI assistant
