Where did that Fabric notification send? Is there an outage I am not aware of? Do I need to take action? Where does Equinix Precision Time show notifications? Look no further, it’s all in one central place. Effective August 23, all ECP, Fabric, Network Edge, Edge Precisions Time customers are able to view operational and transactional notifications in the new notification center located in portal. Customers can conveniently locate all notifications and take action – if required – in a single notification interface.Re: What is Fiber Connect?
Equinix Fiber Connect enables customers to connect to one another within a metro area through leased dark fibers. It is similar to a Campus Cross Connect in that it is used for the same purpose and shares many physical similarities (cable, connector, media converter). Fiber Connect encourages Equinix customers to interconnect with service providers, partners, and with each other to gain fast and reliable access to a wide range of services. The main differences between Fiber Connect and Campus Cross Connects are: Equinix does not own the fiber that connects the data centers. The fiber is leased from carriers which results in different costs, capacity management, and troubleshooting processes. The fiber generally traverses longer distances than a Campus Cross Connect. This might require stronger signal transmission from the customer’s equipment on each end of the span. Fiber Connect Documentation5.9KViews0likes0CommentsRe: New to Community? Introduce Yourself Here
Hello from Colorado Springs, CO. I am excited to be part of the Customer Community! I work for Equinix as a Director of Product Communications. I enjoy camping with my family & friends in the beautiful state of Colorado. My husband and I are Wagonmasters for the Colorado Rally for our camper manufacturer - which just means we coordinate and host a big weekend party for about 150+ other camper owners and their families in Granby, Colorado. I love dogs and we have two rescues that are an important part of our family. Felix (left) and Misty (right) both love camping, long walks, and any kind of treat. I might be biased, but I think they are the cutest! I look forward to meeting everyone.29KViews4likes1Comment
