Check-in & check-out processes for MN1, MN2, MN3

To visit MN1, MN2, or MN3, create a Work Visit ticket in ECP prior to arrival. A ticket is required to access all Equinix IBX®s.

We recommend you review our global IBX policy documentation: https://www.equinix.com/resources/product-documents/ibx-policies.

To streamline the IBX check-in process and entry to your colocation space, we highly recommend you configure your IBX security profile in ECP and generate an IBX Access QR code before your visit.

In the ECP mobile app you can also manage many functions including accessing your QR code.

MN1 & MN2 – Check-in process

  • Access validation: Upon arrival, all visitors must validate their site access registration at the site entry gate.
  • Identity verification: Customer identities are verified at both MN1 and MN2 receptions, after which a security officer provides an Equinix lanyard and a temporary access badge.
  • Escorted access: Once identity verification is complete, visitors are escorted to their designated cage or cabinet within the facility.
  • Visitors with a permanent access badge may proceed directly to MN1 without stopping at MN2 reception.

MN1 & MN2 – Check-out process

  • All visitors with temporary badges must return to MN2 to check out and return their temporary badge before exiting the site.
  • MN1 Visitors with a permanent access badge can check out at MN1.

MN3 – Check-in and check-out processes

  • Customers must enter MN3 via the building’s main reception, where a receptionist will verify their identity. Upon verification, visitors will receive Equinix lanyards and temporary access badges.
  • Visitors can then proceed to the Equinix colocation area on the third floor, where an Equinix staff member will escort them to their designated space.
  • Before departure, all visitors are required to check out with an Equinix team member and return their access badges at reception.
