Hey folks, I'm curious to hear how folks are managing multicloud networking setups. With so many tools and vendors in the space I'm eager to hear what everyone is using to connect between different cloud environments. What vendors or solutions are you using to manage multicloud networking? (e.g., Equinix, Megaport, Aviatrix, Cisco, etc.) Are you using Layer 3 or 4 networking for your interconnections? Which cloud providers or service providers are you connecting to? What’s your primary use case for these connections? (access to specific cloud services, redundancy, cost optimization, etc.) Feel free to share any challenges you've faced too!139Views3likes0CommentsRe: Error 503 Shipments v1 Pending Storage
hey ccigas, I flipped through the API docs and found a section that referenced error 503: https://developer.equinix.com/dev-docs/ecp/error-handling/503 It seems the error is caused by a temporary overload or scheduled maintenance and the recommendation is to try again after a few minutes - any luck there? Are you able to share how you're doing the API call here (with any sensitive info removed of course)? (if it's a cURL call or something else)1.7KViews2likes1CommentWhat tech are you tinkering with these days in your side projects?
With AI being so topical these days I recently started to played around with stable diffusion, via the InvokeAI project (https://invoke-ai.github.io/InvokeAI/) - I'm hoping to write up a blog my experiences but the TL;DR is that InvokeAI is a pretty slick project. I was also playing around with GitHub Action self-hosted runners (https://docs.github.com/en/actions/hosting-your-own-runners/managing-self-hosted-runners/adding-self-hosted-runners) and was pretty impressed by how easy it was to install and use. Anyone else tinkering around with something? I've been meaning to further look into Rust and WebAssembly but haven't found the time to get back into it.10KViews3likes3CommentsRe: Take the “25th Anniversary” Challenge!
I think the invention of the smartphone was the biggest leap I've seen in tech (consumer or otherwise). From a engineering point of view, it's pretty remarkable that we've been able to pack in so much processing power into such a small package. Not to mention, it replaced so many different accessories (music players, cameras, GPS devices, etc) that we were carrying around. Form factor and UI/UX were relatively quickly standardized. And, just about everyone can operate these devices that have the power of instant communication and information retrieval. There have been attempts to invent the next smartphone with other wearables, like smartwatches, or even AR/VR to an extent, but nothing has been a slam dunk like the smartphone. I'm happy I got to see how things played out.7.7KViews1like0CommentsRe: What tech are you tinkering with these days in your side projects?
ZM that's awesome! I had a bunch of co-workers from a previous company get really into home automation - check out https://github.com/home-assistant for open source projects around. Hoping to one day do the same. Will you have any solar panels or batteries added to the home?8.3KViews0likes0Comments
