Equinix Internet Access Dual-Stack IPv4/IPv6 or just IPv4
As a customer if I bring my own IP address will Equinix force me to a Dual-Stack or just IPv4-only config?
If customer wants to bring their own IP address and it is BGP or Static, we will always provide both IPv4 and IPv6 for the first broadcast domain that connects them to our devices that face the internet. For the second broadcast domain that addresses all their devices, they can provision with IPv4 only, or IPv6 only or dual stack. They could start with IPv4 only and add IPv6 whenever.
If customer wants to bring their own IP address and it’s Direct, then we allow them to order just IPv4 or IPv6 or dual stack.
