With a new partnership with Arista Networks, Network Edge has added Arista’s CloudEOS Router to provide multi/hybrid-cloud routing capabilities. CloudEOS provides a consistent, secure and universal approach to hybrid cloud networking. Any virtualized cloud deployment can take advantage through advanced network telemetry and secure IPSec VPN connectivity in a software-only package. Use cases for CloudEOS include secure multi-cloud connectivity, interconnecting VPCs/VNets in the public cloud, multi-site VPN aggregation and the time/cost savings of network function virtualization.Network Edge 2022.5 Release
Network Edge 2022.5 is available October 10, 2022.This release of Network Edge includes changes to Fortinet and Juniper device deployment options, the addition of the newDevice Link Inventory, and more enhancements to the Solution Builder. Fortinet and Juniper Devices Network Edge no longer offers the Equinix-configured device deployment option for new Fortinet or Juniper devices. All new Fortinet and Juniper devices must be self-configured. Devices deployed prior to 2022.5 are not impacted by this change. Device Link Inventory Easily find your Device Link Groups in the newDevice Link Inventory. Go to theNetwork Edgemenu and selectDevice Link Inventoryto view existing device link groups and create new ones. Solution Builder Enhancements Solution Builder now has an auto-save function to automatically save your components and designs after you have configured all the options. In this video, we'll cover how to access a Fortigate Firewall via the Webgui. We'll start in the Device Details section of your provisioned firewall and walk through how to enable http permissions on the device. We'll open PuTTY to check the permissions on the port and cover what happens when we add the http and how to re-add ssh, ping, and fgfm permissions. We'll use the Console Tool in the Device Details page and utilize the temporary password provided by Equinix which will allow us to redo the permission statement for the port. We'll confirm that we've reestablished SSH access via PuTTY and then attempt to access the Webgui now that http has been enabled.
